Soap-Drawn or Cleaned Wire

Our BCW wire is available as either soap-drawn or cleaned bright wire.

Soap-Drawn BCW has a dry soap residue on the wire surface, from the wire drawing process. The lubricant creates a light barrier to protect the steel from contamination and corrosion.

Cleaned BCW is cleaned inline during the drawing process to produce a very bright finish. Care must be taken by customers to use this cleaned wire immediately to avoid surface corrosion.
